God bless our daughter! She is a little sponge and learns so much at school. MOST of the time I'm happy to hear about how school is going and what she is learning. That is... until I get a drink for dinner. In my house Pepsi is a big stable for my husband and I. Although I've recently been introduced to Blackberry Ginger Ale, um, delicious! Let's also remember my favourite dark coloured soda Dr. Pepper.
Anyway, I'm happily drinking my pop when my daughter clears her throat "Ahem! Don't you know that dark coloured sodas contain caffeine! It's very unhealthy for you. You shouldn't drink it." Well, wooty-woot-woot to you too! There goes my enjoyment of my daily Pepsi. My husband and I share a look. You know, the look of exasperation over being told we're unhealthy by an 8 year old. My daughter, the health conscious one of the family. There's nothing like having your kids use their education against you, ahem, to enlighten you. Sometimes I wonder if maybe I should have homeschooled. Now I know how my parents felt when I learned about recycling! Sheesh! On a side note, you should have seen the look of sheer terror when I told her that there was corn syrup in her lollipop. Who's unhealthy now?? Muahahahaha!

AndreaYou know the saying, the grass is always greener on the other side? This is my attempt to find greener grass right where I am in my life.
BTW - I'm the one on the right, just in case you didn't already know that. Categories
